Zylofon Media Kisseman Branch is being brought down

Nana Appiah Mensah is currently in deep waters ever since the news broke that has been declared wanted in Ghana and off the shores of the country after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Earlier today another news broke that his wife’s shop was emptied at night with three Tundra’s and a KIA pickup. According to reports, the once famous Rozy’s collection owned by Rose Tetteh, NAM1’s wife has been emptied. From the reports, the shop was emptied very late in the middle of the night two weeks ago.

Just this afternoon an eye witness sent us an image of the Zylofon Media branch at Kisseman 200 mitres away from GIMPA being brought down for reasons we are yet to know .

FIRST LADY OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ARRIVES IN GHANA TODAY

Mrs-Melania-Trump-and-Rebecca-Akufo

The First Lady of the United States of America, Mrs. Melania Trump, has arrived in Ghana today Tuesday, October 2, 2018 to start a four-country tour of Africa.

Mrs Trump’s plane touched down at the Jubilee lounge of the KIA at exactly 10:06 am on Tuesday.

The US first lady was welcomed by the First Lady of Ghana Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo with traditional drummers and dancers at the Kotoka International Airport in the capital, Accra.

But another compared her unfavourably to former First Lady Michelle Obama who was warmly received with her husband on a trip in 2009.

She will leave Ghana on October 4 and visit Malawi, Kenya and Egypt, to promote the First Lady’s ‘Be Best’ campaign, which she launched in May 2018.

The campaign is aimed at promoting the well-being of the youth and also advocates against cyberbullying and drug use, in Africa.

Mrs Trump announced her visit at a reception for spouses of world leaders, held on the sidelines of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, in New York.

The visit is being organised in partnership with the United States Aid Agency (USAID) and will involve the four countries, described by Mrs Trump as ‘four beautiful and very different countries in Africa’, who have worked closely with the USAID in various areas.

On March 20, she met with top executives of technology companies including Amazon, Google, Twitter, Snap and Facebook, to discuss the issue of cyberbullying and how it affects children.

Mrs Trump, born Melanija Knavs in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, on April 26, 1970, is the wife of Donald Trump, who was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America in January 2017.

Melania moved to the US in 1996 to pursue her modelling career and became a US citizen in 2006 after she married Donald Trump in 2005.

She is the first naturalized and second foreign-born US citizen to become the First Lady, after Louisa Adams, wife of the sixth president, John Quincy Adams.

Mrs Trump came from a humble background, born to an Austrian father, Viktor Knavs, who worked as a car dealer, and a Slovenian mother, Amalija, who worked as a patternmaker at children’s clothing manufacturer, Jutranjka, in Sevnica.

Kofi Annan’s Mourners Disappointed Over Closed Casket

kofi-annan-accra-ghana-shutterstock-editorial-9879208eSome mourners who went to the Accra International Conference Centre to pay their last respects to the former United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, have expressed disappointment in not being able to see the body.

The casket containing the remains of the peace icon was closed and covered with the Ghana flag on Tuesday as mourners filed past to pay their respects.

According to some of them, the closed casket was not in sync with the Ghanaian way of honouring the dead.

In a radio reaction on Accra based Citi FM, one person said: “I wasn’t happy when the coffin wasn’t opened. During the Vice President’s own, the coffin was opened and we all viewed it, so for this one, I wasn’t happy,” she said. 2018091211014733.jpg

“We were surprised and we just came and saw the casket closed with a Ghana flag [draped over it]. So we were just asking that; did we come to observe the Ghana flag or we came to observe [him]? Well, we can’t explain because there may be an idea behind it,” another mourner stated.

A Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide, however downplayed the concerns.

“There are several high profile funerals in which I have seen the casket covered, even in this country, so it is not a major problem,” he said.

He said the focus should be on the occasion, which is trying to mirror Kofi Annan’s apparent modesty. 5b98c3931b7c8.jpg

“The man Kofi Annan himself is a modest person and he doesn’t want a lot of flamboyance around the funeral… even as we give him a befitting state funeral, we think that it is still important that we respect his wishes of keeping it a little modest, a little soft and so on and so forth.”insta-blog-e1535638138790.jpg

On Wednesday, September 12, dignitaries are expected to file past and pay their last respects to Kofi Annan. A burial service will then take place on Thursday September 13 at the Conference Centre before he is finally laid to rest at the Executive Wing of new Military Cemetery at Burma Camp.

Otiko Djaba Rejects President’s Ambassadorial Offer & Resigns From Politics

Former Minister Of Gender, Children And Social Protection Otiko Afisa Djaba who was recently relieved of her post has declined president Akuffo Addo’s offer to serve as Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy.

She has since communicated her decision to the president as she expects to relax and enjoy her family.

Madam Afisah Djaba has also indicated her intention to retire from active politics.

“At 56 years, I want to relax and enjoy my family and life and, therefore, I am not ready to take up the appointment as Ambassador to Italy,” the state-owned Daily Graphic quoted her as saying.

According to her, this would afford her the opportunity to take care of her ex-husband who has been down with stroke for the past six years.

“I cannot abandon him now,” she explained, “I am the one who has been taking care of him since he got sick and I cannot abandon him now.”

Before joining the Akufo-Addo government in February 2017, Madam Otiko Afisah Djaba was the National Women’s Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party.XGltYWdlc1xjb250ZW50XDEzMDIwMTc0NDE0Ml9vdGlrb2FmaXNhZGphYmEuanBnfDEwMjR8NzI4
